A Dream on Intimacy

Heartbreak is something that can leave lasting damage. A Dream on Intimacy looks at what that damage looks like, what causes it, and how to heal from it. It plays with the illusion of linearity in multiple different ways only conforming to traditional time for the climax and some of the resolution. The 10 videos can be viewed in any order and it conveys the same themes of intimacy, heartbreak, and a need for connection. However, I have given them an order to create a narrative between all of them. These are all moments that I actually experienced or have personally seen. Along with this digital production there are actual material objects that I produced or used to enhance the themes of the project. Two such things are the masks I wear in several of the videos. One is a stuffed hello kitty head I altered and the other a traditional halloween mask which I painted on. The ability to see the past, present, and future as all happening at once is a core metaphor in the video series.
